Support OCPM Houston
Your generosity helps OCPM-Houston bring hope, faith, and practical support to individuals impacted by incarceration and the families who love them. Every donation helps fund our prison ministry, family outreach programs, Advent Gifting Event, and ongoing efforts to share Christ's love with those who need it most.
Together, we can be a light of hope and healing in our community.
Future Programs
The OCPM Houston needs resources to implement more programs in the near future.
Orthodox materials for prison libraries
OCPM has been distributing icon prayer cards, catechetical workbooks, and Orthodox prayer books that help the imprisoned faithful. Aside from the Bible, the most requested books are the “Orthodox Christian Journey” series, consisting of four books: Orthodox Christian Journey, Orthodox Christian Catechism, Orthodox Christian Prayer Book, and Orthodox Christian Readings, written in everyday language, easily read and understood, filled with profound truths of the Holy Orthodox Faith. By using these materials, many prisoners transform their prison cells into prayer cells. Your donations help to publish and distribute these materials so that those in prison can grow in their faith.
Re-entry support for released prisoners
There are many more ways that parishes can minister to ex-offenders. For example: develop a resource manual for newly released offenders and assist them in accessing programs designed to assist them with re-entry through job training and other assistance. This resource manual could include maps, bus schedules, and addresses of ex-offender programs and ministries. Part of the process of putting together the resource manual would be to research and contact the various ministries and programs available to assist ex-offenders in your area. Most importantly, when these individuals are released from prison, they need love, support and a church to welcome them and guide them in their walk with Christ.

In 2025, OCPM-Houston was blessed to serve 115 children impacted by incarceration. Each child received needed clothing and a cherished toy, bringing both practical support and Christmas joy to families during the Advent season. Guests enjoyed a festive afternoon filled with lunch, games, activities, and pony painting, creating lasting memories in an atmosphere of love, hope, and community. Through the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we were able to remind every child and caregiver that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
